Derila Ergo Pillow Sleep Positions

Back sleeping

For back sleeping, place the head in the central area and let the lower contour approach the neck. The shoulders should remain on the mattress rather than climbing onto the pillow. A comfortable setup should not force the chin strongly toward the chest.

Side sleeping

Move toward a side section of the pillow while keeping the shoulder near the lower arch. Side sleepers need enough effective height to fill the space created by shoulder width. The same pillow can therefore feel low to one person and high to another.

Stomach sleeping

Stomach sleeping rotates the neck and generally requires less pillow height. Although the seller provides stomach-sleeping guidance, users should not assume a fixed contour will suit every stomach sleeper. If the pillow increases neck rotation or extension, another height may be more comfortable.

Combination sleeping

The butterfly shape provides more than one resting area, which can be useful for people who move between back and side positions. The practical test is whether transitions feel natural without repeatedly having to reposition the pillow.

What determines whether the fit works?

• Shoulder width: wider shoulders generally increase side-sleeping height requirements.
• Mattress firmness: a soft mattress lets the shoulder sink more deeply, reducing the height needed from the pillow.
• Body size and anatomy: there is no universal cervical contour that fits everyone.
• Personal preference: some people prefer a flatter or softer feel even when alignment looks acceptable.
